Stirling has launched a new venture – the “business retreat”. The first of the half day guides to selling your business was held on Thursday 15 December 2011 at the award winning Old Vicarage Hotel at Worfield, near Bridgnorth, Shropshire.
Roger Smith, Director of Stirling Business Solutions, invited guests to enjoy a complimentary full English breakfast ahead of the seminar where experts were on hand to deliver advice and answer individuals’ questions, as Roger explains:
“Selling a business is often a once in a lifetime experience where success is measured on a sound financial solution. This is why I’ve launched the business retreat to help prospective vendors gain the expert advice they need in a relaxing environment. Being aware of the selling process and its pitfalls, even before a Broker is appointed, is vital to a successful sale.”
Legal expert Rob Andrews from Andrews Law, Solicitors covered the legal aspects of a sale and Andrew Harding FCCA, explained the different methods used in valuing businesses. “The main purpose of these seminars is to provide knowledge and information,” says Roger, whose own company, Stirling, has been working successfully with business owners and buyers for the past ten years. “We advise owners what to expect and what to look out for and how to prepare for the sale of their company, so they can avoid any nasty surprises.”
